Getting further ahead some more! Almost done I think. I re-textured parts of the armor so its more finalized to a point that I like it. I will probably try making it match his leg armor more. I also textured the wings really quick for a start to see how everything is going to look together. Also got some feet to show that I haven't posted very well yet.

Ridley Update
Wow it's been a busy few weeks. Haven't really made any progress on anything to be able to post anything. But I have finally got a tablet, and have been working on Ridley fully for the past few days... Found out how unstable Blender is when it comes to sculpting and creating and exporting normals, so I had to ditch it, and continue in Mudbox. Here is some progress!

Dialogue
Dialogue from Kevin Ridgway on Vimeo.
... Thought this dialogue was going to be quick and easy... It was the first time I did it. But then I got some advice from my professor and got super busy at work and what should have taken me 3 days at most ended up taking me a month to get this far.... I want to work on a more fun dialogue next I have a chance to do one.
Bathroom Billy Test
Bathroom Billy from Kevin Ridgway on Vimeo.
I was coming up with something to do a few months back and thought of this idea. I thought it would be funny at first, but then the more i worked on it, the more uncomfortable it was to animate this, until I just had to stop and leave it as it is. I didn't want to do any lighting or texturing or anything on it. But maybe if I did make the environment bright it would have a more pleasant feeling.

Ridley Update
Well, this week has consistently stayed busy with the summer job at Games That Work and all the preparation to remember what I am doing with all my projects in progress. But I finally had some time tonight to work on the wings of Ridley in Blender. I still think Blender is pretty awesome, but the more I want to work as fast as I can in Maya, the more I get irritated with the little difficulties and changes in blender.

Update on life
I haven't been able to post anything new in a while. With me finishing my final weeks of college at SCAD, Graduation, and starting a job on Monday, I have been super busy and haven't even been able to touch some of my projects I am supposed to be working on. But hopefully later on during this week I will be able to do some more work and post some more pictures......
... Wow, I have graduated... That feels kinda awesome.

Project Update: Project STOP IT (WAKE)
These are the After Effects versions that I was working on today. We aren't really fans of how it is turning out, so I will try working with the the white and dirty white skies.
Project Update: Project STOP IT (WAKE)
I have spent all day working on better style shots today. I worked with passes in Photoshop for a long period of time before I got a good suggestion from Ross Cantrell of working on style frames in After Effects. That way we could make sure we could get the look from the style frame we made.
